Tribes

Tribes are the named bot factions that fill out public games (see Bots). Update 33.0 added custom tribe names, letting players buy a tribe name that can appear on bot tribes in public games.

• Custom tribe names are bought and managed from the new Tribes tab in the store.
• A purchased tribe name can appear on bot tribes in public games.
• Boosts, also bought in the store, make your tribe appear more often; the store shows when your next boost expires.
• A public tribe-name leaderboard tracks how tribes are doing, including their active boost counts.

Update 33.0 also added a tribe name themes system for maps. Real-world maps ship with themed tribe names, and mappers can define custom tribes — including custom tribe spawn coordinates — in a map's info.json.
