The MIRV (Multiple Independently-targetable Reentry Vehicle) is the most powerful nuke in the game. It is priced at 25,000,000 Gold and increase 15,000,000 gold with each MIRV launched by any player.
Launching
To launch a MIRV, first right-click onto any (non-water) surface in the map, opening the radial menu. Then open the Build Menu at the desired country you wish to nuke and select "MIRV". Launching a MIRV requires one or more Missile Silos owned by the player launching it. The MIRV will be launched by the nearest missile silo, and will bomb the entirety of a nation, using up to 350 warheads.
Missile behavior
Once spawned from a Missile Silo, the missile will move upwards towards the north end of the map, then splits into warheads that bomb the country. As of Update 33.0, the released MIRV warheads fly like standard nukes (with per-type speeds) and can be intercepted normally by SAM Launchers. Launching a MIRV also puts the launching Missile Silo on cooldown.
Explosion
Once the MIRV reaches the top of the map it will send out hundreds of MIRV Warheads which spread across the nation and bomb it. These warheads completely irradiate tiles within a radius of 12 and some of those within a radius of 18. When using the MIRV, the game attempts to launch a maximum of 350 MIRV Warheads at the targeted player. The warhead's centers must be at least 25 tiles apart using Manhattan distances, meaning that they can only slightly overlap. The ones that hit each remove the targeted nation's troops using the formula 500 * (1 - e^ (-2 * (0.03 * (maxPop - type of population) / maxPop)))). Each warhead population loss impact is calculated sequentially. This typically results in a vast majority of a players population being lost. The losses affect defending troops, attacking troops and transport ships.
